PermaSafe CLEAN (Step 1), 1 Gallon

Sanitizing or disinfecting a surface in advance of applying any surface protectant is helpful, but actually “striping” it, meaning also removing all of the bio-film, skin secretions, dander, trace fungi and other surface contaminants that uniquely inundate passenger cabin surfaces, is critical for SHIELD to achieve the durable bond it’s designed to. PermaSafe CLEAN is not only an EPA Registered Broad Spectrum, Hospital Disinfectant, All-Surface Sanitizer, Odor, Allergen and Mold & Mildew Eliminator, but also an Eradicating Surface Primer.

Additionally, PermaSafe CLEAN provides FIVE BENEFITS that are critical to surface adhesion and durability that no other such product does:
 It’s Rinse-Free (it cleans, sanitizes and disinfects without pre or post application rinsing).

It is important to recognize that any antimicrobial product that is formulated for use on inanimate objects
must be approved for each and every separate intended use by, and correspondingly registered for each
with, the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”), before it can be sold in the US.

PermaSafe CLEAN has EPA Registrations for each of the following sanitation, sanitization and disinfection
standards, as well as Directions for each, and variations of same based upon specific Use Sites, target
surface materials and other criteria:

1 Gallon chemistry of PermaSafe CLEAN is used to cover 5,000 sq ft.

Note that the EPA’s product analysis and registration processes include the submission of specific
“DIRECTIONS FOR USE” for each of these intended uses, which must also be approved by the EPA. Once
approved, these Directions become part of the product’s EPA Registration and are published on the
product’s EPA Master Label (Please see CLEAN’s EPA Master Label). As such, these Directions cannot
be modified in anyway without resubmission to, and written approval from the EPA. Hence, we are unable
to suggest or point to any alternative Directions for Use. In fact, all such product Directions for Use must be
prefaced with the following statement:

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.”
With the above stated, note that, consistent with the attached Master Label, PermaSafe CLEAN can
generally be applied with any of the following: Electrostatic or ULV fogger, auto scrubber, compression
sprayer, mechanical sprayer, trigger sprayer or spray bottle, hand pump sprayer or misting device; clean,
damp, color-safe micro-fiber or other non-linting cloth, sponge, mop, brush or by immersion. Also note that
such application differences are largely based upon the type of material to be treated and the level of
sanitation or antimicrobial standard sought, which, in turn is a function of product concentration level, as
follows:
1. For Use as a General Antimicrobial Cleaner: Dilute 1 part CLEAN with 16 parts water (1 Cup CLEAN
into 1 Gallon water).
2. For Spot-Cleaning Difficult Stains: Use full strength.
3. To Sanitize Hard Surfaces (kills 99.999% of Bacteria in 60 Seconds): Dilute 1 part CLEAN with 9 parts
water.
4. To Sanitize Soft Surfaces – excluding Carpets/Rugs (kills 99.9% Bacteria): Dilute 1 part CLEAN with 9
parts water.
5. To Sanitize Carpets and Rugs (kills 99.9% Bacteria): Dilute 1 part CLEAN with 5 parts water.
6. For Disinfection (kills 99.999% of Bacteria and Viruses): Use full strength.
7. For One-Step Cleaning and Disinfecting: (kills 99.999% of Bacteria and Viruses): Use full strength.
